After daylong drama and HC’s refusal to give him relief, ED arrests Arvind Kejriwal

In a dramatic turn of events, Enforcement Directorate on Thursday arrested Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in the alleged liquor scam case, plunging his party, AAP, into a major crisis and putting a question mark on his continuation in office. ED’s action came hours after Delhi high court turned down Kejriwal’s plea seeking protection from any coercive action by the agency, which had issued nine summonses to him to face questions arising from their investigation into the excise policy case.
